After years of research and experiments we finally had a solar powered vehicle that truly lived up to the concept. The all new Venturi Astrolab boasts of being the first commercialized high performance vehicle powered by solar energy. Its 3.6 square meter photovoltaic cells yield an incredible 21% and its covering of nano-prisms enable much denser concentration of the solar energy.
The Venturi Astrolab needs very little energy and minimum recharging to be in motion. And the best part is, unlike other solar powered vehicles it doesn’t need to be exposed to sunlight on a permanent basis for it to move. It possesses a 16 kwc engine which enables it to offer more durability, thus diminishing the need of exposing the vehicle to sun all the time.
The NiMH Venturi NIV-7 batteries, which are liquid cooled, ensure that the stored energy is better used, whether it is solar or electric energy. In fact, it is the only electricity as well as solar energy driven vehicle. In terms of efficiency and performance it is way ahead of its counterparts, offering a maximum speed of 120 km/hr and the autonomy being 110 km.
It is not just an efficient solar vehicle but also a great innovation when it comes down to protecting the environment. The fact there is no carbon emission during its usage, makes up for the CO2 required for the production of this vehicle. It is truly an environment friendly vehicle in today’s world. It is not just the environment friendly feature that sets this apart. The design of the vehicle is of top brass and changes behavior according to the number of people in it.
