
After years of research and experiments we finally had a solar powered vehicle that truly lived up to the concept. The all new Venturi Astrolab boasts of being the first commercialized high performance vehicle powered by solar energy. Its 3.6 square meter photovoltaic cells yield an incredible 21% and its covering of nano-prisms enable much denser concentration of the solar energy.

Jaguar’s symbolic XK120, a sports car was manufactured from during the late and early 1950s. It succeeded the classic SS 100 whose manufacturing was stopped in 1940, soon after the 2nd World War began. The London Motor Show in 1948 saw the launch of the XK120. Soon after its introduction it became a rage and was able to set a new benchmark in car production.
The start of the Seventies saw newer innovation and intervention in the design and structure of the Baracuda. It was branded as the “Cuda” and the new design was strikingly different from the preceding models with sleeker and sportier features. It was Hemi-powered and was sold without warranty.
The Lamborghini Countach LP400 was the supercar that popularized the sharp angular look in many high performance car of its era. Manufactured by Lamborghini in Italy, the car went into production from 1971 till the year 1990. The first prototype of the car made its debut at the illustrious Geneva Motor Show in 1971.
Ferrari cars are known for their technical and sporting excellence. Their cars are tailor-made for racing and provide explicit technological message. One such model is the Ferrari Enzo. The car came into the scene in the year 2002 and was presented by Luca di Montezemolo.
