Ferrari Berlinetta Boxer The Ferrari Berlinetta Boxer cars were introduced in the market by its manufacturer Ferrari in Italy during the period from 1973 to 1984. Unlike in the earlier models, the company used a mid-mounted flat-12 engine for this car rather than the FR layout Daytona model.

Enzo Ferrari, the founder of Ferrari, the Italian automotive company, approved the production of the Berlinetta Boxer after much persuasion from his engineers because he felt that these cars would be too difficult to handle. But in the late 50s, when marque started losing its dominance to mid-engined Dino racing cars, Ferrari also allowed production in 1971.

Subaru 360

Subaru-360_1958_800x600_wallpaper_01 The Subaru division of the Fuji heavy Industries first produced the Subaru 360, an automobile mass between 1958 and 1971. The Subaru 360 had an air cooled engine of 356 cc and 2-stroke, which was transversely mounted at the rear. The engine was especially designed in a way to ensure it doesn’t exceed 360 cc so that it would qualify for the keicar class in Japan. The body had a monocoque construction and the roof panel was made of fiberglass. At that time (1958) it was considered to very advanced.

In 1958, when the 360 was introduced the engine was 16 hp and the company claimed that it was highly fuel efficient at 66 mpg. However, by the time production was over the powered increased considerably to 25 hp and had the option of a 36 hp twin-carbureted engine.

Initially it was the upscale version of Ford Fairlane, an intermediate car built by Ford during the 1960s. The year 1968 saw Ford retaining the name Fairlane for the base models that had lower trim as compared to those cars which bore the Torino name. Torino during this time was considered to be a sub-series of the Fairlane.
