Lamborghini Jalpa2

The Lamborghini Jalpa is a two-seat coupe that was manufactured from the year 1982 to 1988. The production of this Targa-style coupe was eventually stopped by Chrysler. Although Jalpa is Lamborghini’s highest sold car. The Jalpa could never match the popularity and the power of the other V12s but it is still considered to be a highly desired collector’s car.

Lamborghini Jalpa1The Lamborghini Jalpa had a 3.5 liter V8 engine which could produce 255hp and 7000 rpm. The car could notch up a top speed of 155mph and took just 7.3 seconds for 0-60. The Jalpa was engineered with great quality which was even better than most other large cars of that era. Unlike other cars which had belt driven chain system, the timing system of this wonderful car was chain driven enabling it to hold combustion and timing specs in a much better way. The car was an easy ride in traffic and had a sturdy engine parts which included a five-speed synchromesh.

The masterpiece was available in seven different shades and the Bertone lines of its steel body made it look very stunning. The Lamborghini P140 V-10 which had bonded aluminum and carbon fiber came as a successor of the Jalpa. The thrill and pride of owning such a masterpiece of the automotive history makes you overlook the cost of maintenance and looking for rare replacement parts.
