Lamborghini cars have always held a special place in vintage car lovers and Lamborghini Espada 400 GTE (Series II) is one such car. This car was introduced in early January 1970 Brussels Auto Show. Though names as Espada 400 GTE, this car came to be known as Series II model.

Lamborghini Espada 400 GTE (Series II) was an improved version of the first series in many ways. It has a completely redesigned dashboard with a lockable glove compartment and a redesigned steering wheel. The rear passengers in this series II car got additional ventilation. Moreover, there was a new rear armrest with a small light.

Series I and Series II didn’t differ much in styling. In terms of engine, Lamborghini Espada 400 GTE (Series II) car got Miura/Islero ‘S’ engine with a 10.7 compression-ratio. This new engine delivers an output of 350 bhp at 7500 rpm. Apart from this, there are new ventilated disc brakes of 32mm width at the front and 22mm width at the rear.

Lamborghini Espada 400 GTE (Series II) was produced only for two years and till date it is the most sold car of Espada. Its two special versions were built and one of them was presented to Bertone.
